According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, you will get to hear a short coughing sound followed by instructions related to information on how to avoid the spread of coronavirus. The normal caller tunes have been temporarily disabled. The (DoT) order has already been followed by BSNL, Reliance Jio, Vodafone and Airtel.

New Delhi: A Public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in Delhi High Court seeking the removal of mobile caller tune on Covid-19 awareness in the voice of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. According to news agency ANI, the petition was listed for hearing before the bench of Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh on Thursday but was adjourned till January 18.
