The Asian countries with the highest numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases are India, Turkey, Iran, and Indonesia. Despite being the first area of the world hit by the outbreak, the early wide-scale response of some Asian states, particularly Bhutan, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam has allowed them to fare comparatively well.

Globally, as of 7:21pm CEST, 16 July 2021, there have been 188,655,968 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 4,067,517 deaths, reported to WHO. As of 15 July 2021, a total of 3,402,275,866 vaccine doses have been administered.
