Europe is seeing a resurgence of COVID-19 infections as well,... prompting countries to tighten their quarantine measures.
The Wall Street Journal says the seven-day moving average of new daily infections has doubled since the end of last month in five European countries namely, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the UK.
The daily average in those countries has risen to almost 11-thousand,... which marks the biggest rise on the continent since the peak in March and April.
Outbreaks are surging in holiday destinations, shopping centers and some places that are as yet unknown, so the authorities are urging people to wear masks, ordering nightclubs to close and restricting gatherings.
