Turning our attention to the covid19 situation today. The country has reported 147 new covid19 infections in the last 24 hours out of 2,063 samples . . . This is a positivity rate of 7.1%, almost triple the rate yesterday and above the w.H.O. Threshold of 5% . . .The total number of covid19 cases now stands at 103,014. Recoveries in the last 24 hours stood at 242, 151 from home-based care and 91 from hospitals . . .The death toll stands at 1.795 as no new deaths were reported. Currently, 254 patients are admitted to hospitals while 1,227 are on home-based care program. 34 patients are in the intensive care unit,15 are on ventilation support, 17 on supplemental oxygen and 2 are under observation.
