Singapore has tested thousands of dormitory workers for COVID-19 as it takes preemptive action to prevent another wave of infections. More than 5,500 workers from various dorms and worksites have been screened. The measure comes after a new cluster was discovered at Westlite Woodlands dormitory last week. The authorities are still assessing the results. The Manpower Ministry said it expects a proportion of recovered workers to test positive, but added that this does not necessarily mean the worker has been reinfected with the virus.
