Moderna is the second drugmaker in the U.S. to begin applying for full FDA approval for its COVID-19 vaccine. Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine is currently authorized under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for adults 18 and up. Last month, Pfizer and BioNTech announced they had started the approval process.

Cape Verde’s air and sea borders are open. You’ll need a COVID-19 RT PCR nasal swab test or an antigen test (Ag-RDT) to enter Cape Verde. The test has to be done in the last 72 hours before travel. If you do not present a COVID-19 test done in the last 72 hours, you will not be allowed to board your flight.

No one knew then whether any of the COVID-19 vaccines in development would actually work. Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) (along with its partner, BioNTech (NASDAQ: BNTX)), and Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA) never experienced the worst-case scenario of their vaccines failing miserably.
